About Event Edit
Event Edit is a digital video editing service company passionate about visual storytelling through the art of video editing. Founded in 2005, the company is based out of the city of Walnut Creek in Northern California and serves the surrounding counties. Event Edit serves the general public, as well as local businesses, by providing professional, customer-oriented video editing services.
Event Edit was founded by April Abeyta, a former collegiate athlete who holds a Bachelor's degree in Film Production from Chapman University’s prestigious School of Film and Television. She has over five years of experience in producing and editing video projects, including editing sports programs on Fox Sports West and Fox Sports West 2, and creating highlight reels for NCAA basketball and volleyball programs. Her expertise in sports prospect films stems from her own involvement in NCAA athletics. As a former Kodak All-American basketball player, Ms. Abeyta is familiar with a number of college coaches and what they look for during the recruiting process.
Event Edit co-owner Kim Nunley is also an assistant women's basketball coach at the Junior College level and holds a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in the sports and physical education industry. As a player she has competed competitively at the junior college and university levels, making several appearances in the NCAA basketball tournament. Her experience and knowledge of high school and college athletics help give Event Edit an edge in knowing what college coaches look for in potential athletes.
